Morjim beach is located to the south of Ashvem beach.
It lies on on the northern side of the mouth of the Chopdem river.
Morjim beach is situated at a distance of 18 kms.
From Mapusa and 30 kms. From Panaji.
The part of the beach directly opposite the fort is usually deserted.
A few palm and Casuarina pines can be found on the beach.
The beach is also recommended for viewing sea birds.
The Morjim beach is also the spot in Goa where one can see a lot of net pullers who make their living from the fish they catch after they dry it and sell it as palm tree fertilizers.
